Early Childhood Philosophy

Little Darlings Academy believes that children learn through play and provides many hands on activities that teach math, science, reading readiness, large and small motor skills and social skills.

Little Darlings Academy is taught thematically. Each week there is a certain topic or theme about which the children learn. Incorporated into each theme are lessons pertaining to the areas of Art, Language Arts, Math, Music, Physical Education, Science, and Social Studies.

Little Darlings academy believes that parents are a child’s first teacher. Little Darlings Academy has an open door policy and encourages parents and family to drop in anytime and to volunteer in the classroom and for class parties and field trips.

Little Darlings Academy believes that good communication and relationships with parents are key to providing the best learning environment for the child.

Little Darlings Academy believes that every child is unique and special in their own way and that each child is good at something and deserves respect.

Little Darlings Academy believes that everyone can make a difference when they help others.

Little Darlings Academy knows that each child learns differently and so all types of learning are incorporated. By having large and small group activities as well as teacher directed and child initiated activities Little Darlings Academy provides a balanced, developmentally appropriate approach to learning.
